What types of pest control do you provide?
Happy Earth provides residential and commercial pest-control services throughout Central Texas. We treat a variety of common pests, including ants, cockroaches, termites, mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, rodents, crickets, silverfish, wasps and more. Because every pest and property is different, we begin by identifying the problem and recommending a treatment plan based on what we find.
What areas do you serve?
Happy Earth is based in Waco and serves homes and businesses throughout the surrounding Central Texas area. Contact us with your address to confirm service availability for your property.
Do you offer free inspections?
Yes. Contact Happy Earth to request a free inspection. We will evaluate the pest activity and conditions around your property, explain what we find and recommend an appropriate plan.
Do you treat both homes and businesses?
Yes. We develop customized pest-control plans for residences and a variety of commercial properties. Commercial service can be scheduled with consideration for your operating hours, employees and customers.
Do you use natural or conventional pest-control products?
We use a combination of natural and conventional professional pest-control products. Natural products are used wherever they are appropriate and capable of effectively addressing the problem.
Some pest situations may require a conventional product or a combination of methods. The products we select depend on the pest, the location of the activity and the needs of the property. Our goal is to use the right product in the right place rather than applying more than is necessary. All products are applied according to their labels and applicable directions.
Are your treatments mindful of children and pets?
Yes. We consider the people and animals who use the property when developing a treatment plan. We focus applications in targeted areas and provide any instructions that should be followed before or after service. Please tell your technician about children, pets, allergies or other concerns before treatment so they can be considered in the service plan.
Do you have to spray inside my home?
Not always. The appropriate treatment areas depend on the pest and where activity is occurring. In many cases, exterior treatments, entry-point corrections and other preventative measures can play an important role in controlling the problem. If an interior treatment is recommended, your technician will explain where it will be applied and why.
Does “natural” mean a product is completely harmless?
No pest-control product should be treated casually simply because it is naturally derived. Natural and conventional products must both be selected, handled and applied appropriately. Our technicians choose products based on the pest, the treatment location and the needs of the property. We will also explain any precautions or preparation instructions associated with your service.
How do you decide which treatment to use?
We consider the pest species, location and level of activity, along with the structure, landscaping, moisture and other environmental conditions around the property. This inspection-first approach helps us create a focused plan instead of treating every property with the same routine application.
Do I need to prepare my home before treatment?
Preparation depends on the pest and the type of treatment being performed. You may be asked to clear certain areas, store food, move pet bowls or provide access to places where activity has been observed. Happy Earth will give you specific preparation instructions before your appointment when they are needed.
Do I need to leave during treatment?
That depends on the products used and the areas being treated. Some services may not require you to leave, while others may include specific instructions for people and pets. Your technician will explain any necessary precautions and when treated areas may be used again.
How long does a pest-control appointment take?
Service time varies based on the size of the property, the pest involved and the extent of the activity. A focused treatment for a common pest may take less time than an extensive inspection or treatment for termites, rodents or a widespread infestation. We will provide a clearer expectation after learning more about your property.
Will I see pests after my service?
It is possible to notice some pest activity after treatment. Certain products and methods may cause pests to leave hidden nesting or harborage areas before the activity begins to decline. The amount of time required will depend on the pest and severity of the problem. Your technician can explain what to expect and when you should contact us about continued activity.
How quickly will the treatment work?
Results vary by pest species, treatment method and level of infestation. Some activity may decrease quickly, while colonies, hidden nests and breeding populations can require additional time or follow-up service. Our goal is to address the source of the problem rather than only the pests currently visible.
Will rain affect my exterior treatment?
Light rain does not necessarily prevent every type of exterior service. However, heavy rain, high winds or severe weather can affect certain applications. We monitor conditions and will adjust or reschedule the service when weather may prevent an effective treatment.
Will one treatment solve the problem?
Some pest problems can be resolved with a focused treatment, while others may require follow-up visits or ongoing protection. The answer depends on the pest, the severity of the activity and the conditions around the property. After the inspection, we will recommend the level of service appropriate for your situation.
Why do pests sometimes return?
Pests may return when they continue to find food, moisture, shelter or openings into the structure. Seasonal conditions and nearby pest populations can also create new activity. In addition to treating active pests, Happy Earth looks for entry points and contributing conditions that may need to be addressed to improve long-term protection.
How often should my property be treated?
The appropriate schedule depends on your property, the pests involved and the level of protection you want. Some customers may need a targeted service for a specific problem, while others benefit from an ongoing pest-management plan. We will recommend a schedule based on the needs of your property rather than assuming the same frequency is right for everyone.
What happens during an inspection?
We look for active pests, nesting and harborage areas, entry points and conditions that may be attracting or supporting pest activity. We may inspect interior and exterior areas depending on the problem being reported. Afterward, we will explain what we found and recommend a focused treatment plan.
Do you offer a discount for new customers?
Yes. New customers save $65 on their first service. Contact us for additional details and to schedule your inspection.
